BURNS WATER GARDENS

Waterlilies are considered by many people to be the "Queen of Flowers". Over the past hundred years, many beautiful hybrids have been developed. We would like to share their beauty with you in our "Virtual Waterlily Collection". Many of the photos have been taken at Burns Water Gardens, where we maintain an extensive collection of lilies. We have also been fortunate to see and photograph many rare varieties at the annual International WaterLily and Water Gardening Society Symposium in various locations in Europe and North America.

The waterlilies have been listed in chronological order of introduction. Beside the photo we have indicated the name of the waterlily, the hybridizer, the date of introduction as well as interesting information about the variety such as any patents, availability to the general public etc. At the end of each description is a code indicating where the photo was taken (see the bottom of each page for the codes). Each photo is is less than 10K (most are 4-5K) and there are no more than 8 photos per page, depending on the size of the photos.
